Our Initiatives
One of our first program initiatives is to solicit support in our effort to make significant contributions towards the full endowment of the Jackson/Mitchell Chair for Women and Religion at Union Theological Seminary through our Annual Sunday of Remembrance for Dr. Ella P. Mitchell Campaign (2014 -2017). The endowment of the Chair honors the legacy of Dr. Ella and commits to the future of Theological Excellence for Women of Color.
The Mitchell Fund will also establish scholarship awards to support and inspire young theologians in their seminary training in historically Black institutions or programs directed at multicultural religious experiences.
